DEFINITION
Gynoid lipodystrophy or cellulite is a skin condition that mainly affects women (around 85%-98%). It causes topographic changes to the surface of the skin due to changes in dermal and subcutaneous tissues, leading to an “orange peel” like effect. The severity of it can be categorised into 4 levels.
As fat cells increase in your body, they push against the connective tissue beneath your skin. This makes the surface of your skin look lumpy or appear dimpled. This gets worse as you age as skin elasticity decreases and it can lead to impaired microcirculation and blood flow.
The anti-cellulite massage aims to treat cellulite non-invasively by helping to create new collagen through vigorous and rhythmical strokes that heat the skin and tissue underneath. It improves circulation, helps blood vessels to grow, promotes the breakdown of fats and increases collagen density. Overall, it results in a considerably reduced appearance of cellulite as well as improved skin elasticity.
For best results, we recommend a package of this treatment once or twice a week, alongside diet, exercise and a good amount of water intake.
This treatment is not suitable for pregnant women, nor for people with:
